Theatrefullstop seeking shorts for pub theatre festival

Theatrefullstop are looking for writers, performers and emerging theatre companies to take part in their weekend Pub Theatre Festival. This is the second year the company are running the festival, and they will be teaming with 3 pub theatre’s to present the selected pieces.

The festival will take place over 3 weekends in March and April (Friday and Saturday) and will allow for groups with a max of 3 performers to showcase 30 minutes of work. A total of 24 acts will have the opportunity to showcase their work at one of the 3 venues.

In their words: “The aim is to encourage current drama school and university students, as well as graduates to stage their works to a paying audience.Making your first steps into staging your own works after higher education can be a tough task. There’s plenty to think about as you’re not only creating and devising your own works, you’re having to bear in mind the marketing and financial aspects of a show. What the Pub Theatre Festival looks to do is to create a launchpad for the voices of tomorrow. Everyone has to start from somewhere, and with a little support, possibilities can be endless.”

How to apply: All submissions should be sent to Lucy Basaba at theatrefullstop@gmail.com.  In order to be considered as a performer, you must submit a bio about yourself and your theatre company, a synopsis of your piece and any other supporting material (video clips/script/photos etc). You must have a finalised idea rather than just an idea you are currently working on. Please only submit up to 30 mins of work.

Deadline: 1 December 2017
