Opportunities – Pick of the Week: Full Circle Theatre launch new online radio playwriting festival for 2017

Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.

This week’s pick: Full Circle Theatre launch new online radio playwriting festival for 2017

Description: Following the success of their previously theatre based playwriting festivals, Full Circle Theatre have decided to move the festival online to reach a wider, international, audience.

Winning entries will be recorded as ‘radio’ plays and launched on their website where they will remain available to download free of charge for a year. They will be advertising the festival and the winning playwrights extensively on social media.

What’s so great about it? Have you written a play that might work well for radio? Or would you simply like the chance to have your play recorded for an online audience? This opportunity with Full Circle Theatre gives you the chance to have your play recorded and made available for download  on their website for a whole year. We think this is a great platform for promoting your work (and yourself!) and a valuable opportunity to get your play ‘produced’ by professionals. They are looking for plays of any genre (except musicals), all they ask is that scripts can be easily adapted for radio. You’ve got until 30 June to get those submissions in.
