Opportunities – Pick of the Week: Secret Hour Theatre seeks shorts on theme of ‘secrets’ for Camden Fringe

Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.

This week’s pick:  Secret Hour Theatre seeks shorts on theme of ‘secrets’ for Camden Fringe

Description: Secret Hour Theatre are looking for 15 minute duologues and monologues for Secrets, a new writing night taking place at the Camden Fringe 2017.The duologues/monologues must respond to the theme: Secrets.

Secrets will showcase four unique pieces of new writing. Each piece should reveal an important secret about the character(s). How, when and why this is revealed is entirely up to you.

What’s so great about it? We think this is a great opportunity to be involved with a really exciting event; The Camden Fringe has been running for over a decade now; originally set up as an alternative to Edinburgh, its’ past events have included everything from opera to improvisation. Secret Hour Theatre are looking for 15 minute duologues or monologues s to take to the festival and the brief is to write something on the theme of ‘secrets’. We reckon this is great theme for writers to put their own spin on and if you’re interested in submitting,  you’ve got until the end of the month (31st) to write something. Good luck!
