MA Dramatic Writing Showcase

Part of London Writers’ Week 2016
The MA Dramatic Writing Showcase introduces the work of the graduating students each year from the MA Dramatic Writing at Drama Centre London at Central Saint Martins, the only course in the UK to cover writing for all forms of dramatic writing including theatre, film, television, radio, and digital media.
Over two years the student writers are training by some of those leading the way in the industry.
The graduating writers in 2016 are:
Rachel Coombe – a talented theatre and screen writer, Rachel’s work has been selected for the Central Saint Martins/Bush Theatre collaboration, ENO and Taxi Tales by Tamasha Theatre Company. Rachel has a particular interest in work with an element of fantasy and writing for young people.
Sara Costa – a writer from Portugal, Sara has written “Posh Out of Order”, a mockumentary style comedy inspired by shows like “Made in Chelsea”, amongst other work
Elizabeth Goeller – an American writer, Elizabeth is particularly interested in screen and writing about women and politics. Elizabeth was selected for the Central Saint Martins/Bush Theatre collaboration in 2015
Goncalo Grazina Malaquias – a writer from Portugal, Goncalo is interested in experimental work and screen and represented Portugal at the Venice Film Festival
Alexis Han-Holdren – a writer from America, Alexis writes, acts and produces, including the short film “Figments” which is currently on the festival circuit. Alexis is particularly interested in writing about women
Titilola Ige – a writer from a Nigerian background, Titi is the winner of The Student Guide to Writing: Playwriting, her company is an Associate Company at Tamasha Theatre Company and she is currently working with the Soho Theatre and Nitrobeat. A talented writer for theatre and screen, Titi also produces and directs and was recently selected for University Women in the Arts.
Jorge Hernandez Jimenez – a writer from Mexico, Jorge writes surreal and fantastical work for theatre and screen and was recently selected to assist writer Lin Coghlan on the theatre production “The Day of the Living”.
Victoria Jones – a writer and actress, originally from the North of England, Victoria writes for theatre and screen and has taken part in new writing nights as both an actress and writer in London and was selected for the MA Screen collaboration and commissioned for Taxi Tales by Tamasha Theatre Company and had her work showcased by ENO
NSR Khan – a talented theatre, radio and screen writer selected for writing programmes at the Traverse Theatre and Tamasha
Catherine Milne – the former Head of Development at Lynda La Plante’s production company, and a talented screen and theatre writer, Catherine is particularly interested in women and was selected for the Central Saint Martins/Bush Theatre collaboration, a short film project and ENO
Margaret Perry – a graduate of the Royal Court Theatre’s young writers programme, Margaret’s theatre work has already won awards, attachments and commissions and Margaret is a very talented theatre and screen writer from Ireland
Aurelia Rosegger –a writer from India and Germany, Aurelia is interested in theatricality in her work and recently worked with Tim Supple in India. A writer for theatre, digital media and screen.
Max Sellers – a comic writer, especially strong on film, and one of only two writers on the course selected for both film collaborations at Drama Centre London over the two years.
Gretha Viana – an Emmy-nominated producer from Brazil, now making a career in England as a dramatic writer. Particularly interested in documentary, writing inspired by real life events and using elements of fantasy in her work.
Dan Waldron – a writer from America, particularly interested in screen and sci-fi, Dan has been commissioned for Taxi Tales by Tamasha Theatre Company amongst other work
Alexander Young – interested in comedy, romance and historical dramas, one of only two writers selected for both film collaborations at Drama Centre London over the two years.
