Intensive workshop: Tackling Structure and Dramatic Form
Thursday 14 April 2016 from 7pm-9pm

This interactive session is part of our Intensive Workshop series.  This workshop will give writers practical tools to approach structure with confidence, providing a fresh perspective in this essential area. (All levels)

Script Surgery with A.C. Smith
Wednesday 20 April 2016 from 3-5pm

Could you use constructive advice and feedback on recent pages or a sticky dramatic problem? This Script Surgery is an opportunity to get useful feedback in a supportive group environment. (Intermediate +)

Half-Day workshops

Fundraising For Your Play: The Arts Council & Beyond

Sunday 17 April 2016 from 10.30am – 1.30pm

Fundraising For Your Play is a half-day workshop that will provide participants with the information they need to successfully raise the funds to create their artistic projects. Guest Workshop Leader Lynette Linton will cover the key steps that lead to a successful application, sharing tips and strategies from her own experience. If you’re thinking about producing your own work, this is a workshop not to be missed! (All levels)

Writing For Musicals: An Introduction To Book & Lyrics
Sunday 17 April 2016 from 2 – 5pm

Writing For Musicals is a half-day workshop that will introduce writers to the process of writing libretto & lyrics for musical theatre. Using practical examples and an interactive format, the workshop will demystify the core concepts of writing for the genre, and encourage writers to think innovatively about how to use music in their theatrical works.  (All levels)

Day-long workshops

Workshop: Plan your Play in a Day
Saturday 16 April 2016 from 10.30am – 5pm

In this day-long workshop, writers will bring in an idea for a play, and use structured exercises to develop a creative plan for their script, and map out the key stages for getting it written! If you’ve found yourself struggling to finish your writing project (or even get started), this session will put you on track for a successful writing process. (All levels)
