Defibrillator seeking Writer-in-Residence at The Langham (£5,000 commission + £7,000 hospitality package)

Following the success of last year’s Hotel Plays, Defibrillator Theatre is now seeking submissions for a Writer-in-Residence for its second collaboration with the Langham, of a play to be staged in the hotel.  The production – The 1865 Project – will celebrate the hotel’s 150th anniversary.  It is hoped the residency will run on an annual basis in the future.

The selected writer will receive a £5,000 commission to write the script, a five week production run, and a hospitality package worth £7,000 from The Langham.

The winner will be announced on 27 October 2014, with the show to run in March 2015.

How to apply:  Defibrillator invites writers to submit a brief summary of their idea and approach for the show, with an entry deadline of 29 September, 2014 to info@defibrillatortheatre.com.

Deadline:  29 September 2014
