BBC Writersroom – Alfred Bradley Bursary Award 20/21 Online Launch Event

The Alfred Bradley Bursary Award 20/21 Launch – Friday 25th September 2020 from 21.00 – 22.00

The Alfred Bradley Bursary Award is a £5,000 bursary for Northern writers new to radio established in 1992 to commemorate the life and work of Alfred Bradley, the distinguished BBC Radio Drama producer. The winning writer also receives a 12-month mentorship with a BBC Radio Drama producer and the opportunity to gain a BBC Radio 4 drama commission.

To celebrate, the BBC Writersroom is holding a virtual launch event as part of the Contains Strong Language Festival. Join previous Alfred Bradley Bursary Award-winners and BBC Radio Drama North Producer, Gary Brown in conversation with BBC Writersroom North’s Development Producer, Alice Ramsey, for a discussion on the award along with tips on writing for radio.

Closed captions will be made available for this webinar.

The opportunity will be open for submissions from North of England based writers from the beginning of this launch event. Further information on how to submit as well as T&Cs can be found on the BBC Writersroom website
