Topanga Actors Company is a local not-for-profit theater company based in Greater Los Angeles. They have a stellar reputation for producing staged readings of contemporary English-language plays using local actors working in intimate settings. Their productions are universally FREE of charge.
Currently they are asking for submissions for a Ten Minute Play Festival taking place on September 28 and September 29, 2019. The festival will feature up to twelve plays of roughly ten minutes each. Any English language play is eligible. Selected playwrights will receive a staged reading of their play, an enthusiastic credit in their festival program, and appropriate local publicity. No entry fees are involved.
Submissions guidelines:
* Unpublished plays only
*One submission per playwright. Collaborations are welcome but please be sure to give names so we may give appropriate credit.
* Any theme, any genre, except musicals.
* By submitting, the playwright gives permission for Topanga Actors Company to perform the play in its Ten-Minute Play Festival. The playwright must be free to give this permission and accept licensing terms offered by TAC if the play is selected.
* Plays should be submitted in standard play format via email only in PDF format with a title page. A short synopsis is appreciated. Please list all casting flexibility.
