The Northern Exposure Short Film Script Lab open for applications

The Northern Exposure: Short Film Script Lab is back, taking place this year from July – October. The Script Lab is an opportunity for up to ten emerging writers to develop a short film from an early idea to a completed script in a supportive, inspiring environment.

The 2019 cohort will be split into two groups depending on their location and will attend regular development sessions held in Leeds and Liverpool.

As well as progressing their script on the page, Script Lab participants will also have the chance to see their work performed live at a rehearsed reading event for an audience of industry figures and members of the public. The course will culminate with a Meet Market event at Aesthetica Short Film Festival where Lab writers will meet UK producers and festival delegates in a series of 1-2-1 meetings to showcase their finished script and discuss developing their project further.

Participation in the Northern Exposure: Short Film Script Lab is free and open to writers working in any creative discipline who have an idea for a short film under 15 minutes in length.

How to apply: For full eligibility criteria and application details visit the Film Hub North website and read the Programme Guidelines. Any Questions? Please contact the BFI NETWORK team at: bfinetwork@filmhubnorth.org.uk
