Sharp Scratches accepting shorts for E-United night

Sharp Scratches is an evening of new writing, for their next show this will be at Theatre Deli, The Old Library, London SE5.

Each night of new writing has a theme and edition. For their 31st March night they are looking for short scripts, extracts and spoken word that tackle the current state of British Politics, whatever this means to you. Submissions from BAME and LGBTQIA+ writers are strongly encouraged.

Whether it’s your first script or your 100th they want to hear from you.

What they want:

  • Pieces of theatre or extracts or spoken word no longer than 15 minutes in duration. If you are submitting an entire longer script you need to specify the extract you want to submit for performance as they do not have the readers to read entire full-length scripts.
  • Maximum 3 characters unless actors playing multiple roles is possible. If so please specify in your email.
  • You must be a UK resident.

Scripts should be emailed to sharpscratches@gmail.com with the title of your play in the subject. You must also include a short synopsis, including cast list and a little bit about yourself as a writer. Submissions without this information in the body of the email will be disregarded.

A group of readers will shortlist the chosen pieces and they will be then be cast and directed for performance. Writers are welcome to attend rehearsals.

Deadline: 10 March 2019 at 4pm
