In their first year their focus is to find female writers for television. If you have a Script for a first episode of a drama or comedy and you don’t have agency representation, then you are eligible to apply.

Every Script submitted will be read by a qualified Script developer. Shortlisted Scripts will be judged by a panel of TV industry experts. Thousand Films will offer to option selected Scripts and the offer will incorporate a prize package including:

  • The chance to work with “Killing Eve” producer Sid Gentle Films on a writer’s original ideas or other Sid Gentle projects.
  • An intensive TV industry ‘boot-camp’ hosted by the National Film and Television School.
  • An all expenses paid trip to the Edinburgh TV Festival including accommodation and full delegate passes.
  • A tailored development process to take Scripts through a new draft and give writers experience of working with a producer.

Their mission mission is to find new writers who can take their projects into development and kick-start writing careers.

How to apply: Submit your TV script for free via their website.
