The Space programming one-off performances at the Roof Garden

The Space are looking to programme a number of one-off performances for the 2018 summer programme at  the beautiful Crossrail Place Roof Garden performance space.

Located on top of the Crossrail Station in Canary Wharf, the performance space is an intimate, informal and open air 70 seat amphitheatre in a covered roof garden. The venue has a PA system and flooring (suitable for movement work), but no stage lighting.

What they are looking for: Since 2014, the Roof Garden has presented an eclectic programme of theatre, music and comedy and this summer will be no exception. They are looking for:

  • Vibrant, engaging work that can be performed outdoors with minimal tech requirements.
  • Performers with some demonstrable track record. Past performers include Theatre Ad Infinitum, Grand Union Orchestra, Time Zone Theatre and Nick Helm.
  • Performances ideally around 1 hour in length.
  • Pieces targeted at any age but must be suitable for all ages as performances will be early evening and some young people may attend.

The fee available for the performance will be £750 and all tickets to events at the Roof Garden are free for audiences.

How to apply: You can apply either for a Thursday evening or a Saturday afternoon slot, please check out the website for further information and the application forms.

Deadline: 5 April 2018 at 12pm for April-June slots/ 17 May 2018 at 12pm for July-September slots
