This week’s pick: Arundel Festival Theatre Trail/Drip Action Theatre Company seek short plays

Description: The Arundel Festival Theatre Trail, conceived and presented by Drip Action Theatre Company, is now in its seventeenth year.

The Trail is firmly established as one of the major components in the Festival and is a great showcase for both new and established writers, both from the UK and beyond.

Writers are invited to submit plays for the 2018 Trail. Plays should be between 30 and 40 minutes long, with practicable casting, props and effects.

What’s so great about it? 

Arundel festival performs at the end of August over a period of eight days. Each night a short play with be performed at one of  eight different venues all over Arundel.

This is a fantastic opportunity for eight different playwrights, regardless of their experience, to have a play produced and work with Arundel’s creative team.

The spectrum of venues also means the possibility of reaching out to audience’s that may not have been previously on your radar.

So, if you’ve got a short play that you feel is perfect for the festival circuit, this may be a great start to take it off the ground. Successful playwrights will also receive a £150  writers fee.

The deadline to apply is 31 January 2018. (All applications must be send via post rather than email.)
