East End Women’s Museum seeks Director and Actors for new short play

For the launch of the East End Women’s Museum, a short play using material from the East side Community Heritage archives; celebrating the voices of women from Dagenham, will be performed.

Synopsis of the play: Two older women, in their 60’s-70’s, discuss what it was like growing-up and living in the East-End.

Call Out: 

Director: A director with some experience working with short pieces, and interest in female-lead performance.

Actors: 2 female actors are required.

The characters of the play include:

Hollie: A 60-70-year-old woman, White-British.

Deborah: A 60-70-year-old woman, Ghanaian-British.

(Please note that actress of the age 50+ can apply.)

Auditions will be held on 6 January 2018.

(Unfortunately this is an unpaid opportunity, as everyone involved is a volenteer.)
